not-so-epic-weekend

so, this weekend was not too epic for us.
we were supposed to go on a ski trip wit csf, but that was cancelled due to my parents and hannah's father being muy mal.
but it's all good.

friday hannah and i both went home, hannah to gveg and me to "tega" (HA!)
my mommy cooked for me all weekend which was very delicious. i did not move from the couch, and i had a sufficient amount of wonderful sleep-aid-like drugs to help me "rest up."

today, hannah and i both ventured out into the cold, wintry, scary ice-like roads and made the long trip home to lee wicker. hannahs venture back to the wu was a tad bit farther than mine. roughly....an hour and forty minutes longer than my trip. but, oh, was my trip a trip.
"tega" was very slick and icy, and it didn't seem that anyone had plowed the road. if anyone has met my dear sweet car bullet (pii-chwaaaaa), you would know that she is not made for any other weather than a bright sunny day. so, bullet and i skidded around in tega cay all the way until i turned onto 160. then, it was all good. the roads were wet, but it was a pretty safe drive all the way back to wu. i even played a game where i tried to get the snow off of the top of my car to fall down and hit the car behind me. pretty epic, yes. and you know what? it worked. twice.

phillip is here right now. SHOUT OUT TO PHILLIP. he is watching our new evolution of dance video currently. he just scolded me for "live blogging." hannah and i had to explain that we are new to this whole blog thing, and therefore we will "live blog" until the day we die.
yes. the day we die. because hannah and i are probably going to die together at the same time. it'll happen. just let it.

so anyways hannah and i got home and decided that we wanted to get on the ball with evolution of dancing times two. so we did the evolution of dance 2. and it is epic. everyone should watch it on facebook. we worked pretty hard on it....kind of. not really. oh well. it's stil pretty baller.

i am currently sitting here "live blogging" and thinking about tomorrow. the roads were pretty wet, so i am quite hopeful that winthrop classes will be canceled tomorrow. this will probably not happen. because life doesn't seem to like me all too often. oh well. it happens.

i totally downloaded the song hungry eyes. it was epic. i have been listening to it all night long.

phillip is telling stories about the csf trip. i am kind of sad that we missed out on it.

if anyone knows a groin massuse, please contact me. i have a friend who is named phillip who is in dire need of one. he told me not to mention his name. so just forget that i mentioned his name. which is phillip. phillip reynolds. btws.

tomorrow is not going to be a good day if we have to go to class. im just not feeling it tomorrow. class. blah. eh. meh. class.

well there isnt too much for me to blog about really today. except that we are totally watching the grammys at 8 tonight. because we have no lives. anyways, till next time.

joint blog

you are all intrigued by the title of this blog. joint blog. when we say joint, we do not mean like mary-ju-wana. we mean like hannah and jessica sitting on the same FUTON AWESOMENESS WHAT WHAT together writing this blog together. in a joint -hence- partnership of a blog that is of our lives.
jessica is typing. bt dubs. also known as "btw" which means "by the way."

so we'll start out with this morning.
my shower at 6:50 was actually relatively warm this morning. EPIC. note, showers around here in LW 209 WHAT WHAAAAT have been pretty cold lately, which lead to my upper resp. infetion (aka a cold - hannah) which nearly killed me along with my tumbling to the ground from my top bunk last week.
hannah woke up around 8:30 while i was in class to take a shower. sadly, she was unable to obtain said shower because suitemate #2 locked her out. this is okay however. she took a shower later.

from 8 to 9:15 i had art history, again not epic. but i did decide my art history teacher is the best ever. he has two weenie dogs LIKE MEEEE. and he is sarcastic and funny. I think he has a facebook also. stalking will happen later on in the evening.
from 9:30 to 10:45 i had acting, which is always an entertaining time. after that hannah and i met up in dink with bee to eat lunch. we ate asian food from jump! and got our jump cards stamped. ONE STAMP CLOSER TO A FREE ASIAN MEAL. yeah. thats right. epic.
i then went to class from 12:30 to 1:45 where i took a quiz and listened to my teacher talk about lynching.
hannah was in class from 2-3:15 while i napped in my humble abode. it was lovely. my bed is so soft. soft enough for the snuggle bear from commercials to be jealous. he's always looked itchy to me anyways.

between 3:15 and 5:30, hannah and i had random epic battles of throwing a caprisun box at each other. we also watched law and order svu which pretty much broke our hearts because there were abused children up in it.
phillip then came and picked up hannah, katie worthy, and i for church.

SHOUT OUT TO PHILLIP WE LOVE YOUUUU!! phillip is our awesome friend who comes and picks us up for church and hangs out with us and thinks we're cool and he's awesome. and he's a good cook too. our friendship is epic.

we then went to csf where we had 18 people tonight!! EPIC. we had sooo many people. we told the people of csf about our lives. david, the pastor (SHOUT OUT DAVID @CUCITYHOPE) decided that hannah and i should just become a couple because we refer to everything in our lives as though hannah and i are one person. it was epic. we also played the two truths and a lie game. it didn't really work too well for any of us though. it was a lot of fun, however. there is always a lot of smiles and laughter at csf. cause its so cool and hannah and i go and make it EPICALLY COOLER.

oh side note. i would like to tell a story about today. this morning, as i was walking to class, something epic happened. i had just gotten out of art history and was walking across campus to pass the time before my next class. okay. so you can picture. little me. with my straight brown hair and big brown eyes. i had on my ugg boots (which are so cute), some jeans, and a cute sweater and scarf. i was looking mighty adorable today. in everyone's eyes. i would like to point out. except hannahs. i was too hot for her to look at. anyways, so i was walking "fa la la la la", please picture me walking, and texting hannah about the song hungry eyes. as i was walking and typing, i heard a bird in the near distance. i didn't look up. winthrop is pretty pro-earth, so there are big trees to keep the campus shaded, with a plethora of birds and squirrels running amuck. as i continued walking and typing, i was suddenly pushed with such a force that i fell back and twirled around five times from the blow. i looked up in a fury and saw a boy. the boy looked at me, wide eyed, black jacket unzipped, pants sagging because they were too big. anyways, he looked at me, eyes huge with fear, and said "sorry. bird....looking...tree." i nodded and he began to shuffle past. i told him that i understood and that it was no problem, even though im sure i'll have a black eye in the morning from his epic push. as i walked past the tree, i also heard a bird. i stood in front of the tree for one minute and fifteen seconds looking for the bird. i couldn't find it. i feel that this made my bird-watching battler and i bond a little bit together. the bird sounded kind of like a tucan. i am glad i didnt have my glasses on, they probably would've been broken in all of the hustle.

back to life. after csf hannah, judith, rebecca and i went to target and had a jolly old time. we piddled around in there for a bit and i was able to buy zoolander. which hannah, bee and i just watched. and now its over. and bee is gone. and hannah and i are watching family guy. which is epic.

these are the events of this day in lw 209. i love lw 209. just sayin.
till next time.

ps- withhhh theseeeee....hungry eyes.
one look at you and i can't disguise
i've got hungry eyes.
i feel the magic between you and i.

HANNAH IF YOU READ THIS---WE NEED TO DOWNLOAD THAT.

blog overdose.

sooo. i know this is a lot of blogging for one day.... but i felt left out (and by i mean Hannah)

Yes. This is Hannah, actually blogging.

As Jessica said earlier, nothing to epic happened today. just a lot of boring and mundane things, such as an epic trip to cold stone/wall-greens and watching glee with Nina.

Jessica is currently laying in my bed, while i lounge on futon couch wonderfulness. oh wait, she just pulled out the chocolate chip m and m cookies. time for a cookie break.
That was one of the most delicious cookies i have ate today.

Jess is such a good roomie that she is shaking the crumbs (ps. meg just sang i wont say i'm in love... probably one of my favorites song ever) so jess is shaking all the crumbs of her cookie on the rug instead of my bed. she is so sweet. however she is quoting the movie right now "destroy zues, freeze himmmmmmmmmm" and so on.

so back to my non epic day. i went to math class (side note. jessica just realized that she can stick a magnet on the metal bed frames... yeah she real smart) so i went to math class. thank goodness i did my homework last night... we had a pop quiz. (side note again. MEG ADMITTED TO BEING IN LOVE WITH HERCULES)

we (and by we, i mean jessica said i and agreed) decided that Meg and Hercules babies would look real awkward.

Hercules just said "YES WE CAN".. we found where OBAMA got his catch phrase... he stole it from Herc. i mean i don't blame him, Herc is pretty baller!

I feel like three blogs in one day is a bit much... maybe. who knows.

If my mom reads this.... DON'T WORRY MOM I FINISHED ALL MY HOMEWORK BEFORE I STARTED BLOGGING.

welp, i guess i am done for the day, seeing as Hercules just saved Meg and is now getting to return to the heavens where they belong. (Herc is now glowing) If Herc and Meg have babies now, will they be awkward and glowing?

until next time :)

hercules.

achem. so. this is jessica. i am lounging on our very lounge-ful futon couch in our dorm in WICKA WICKA WHAAAAAAT. you guys should know that every time i write that (WICKA WICKA WHAAAT) i say it out loud. yeah. epic. i know.

hannah is studying for hmxp tomorrow, and we have hercules turned on. the best movie ever? I think so. although Meg is not in the movie yet, so it is only so-so best movie ever. like, kind of best movie ever. eh. like...movie ever. without the best.

phil, in the movie, just said ulcer. im still not entirely sure what that is. but it looks painful for cartoon-land. so it must be painful in real life too. Hannah said she would totally date hercules (post training) if he were real.
we also decided that achilles has a striking resemblance to Brad Pitt. yes, that was a reference to the movie Troy. aren't we funny. tee-hee.

so, in the accounts of events of today, nothing epic really happened. hannah and i got up, went to class,
oh, let me vent for a little. i am in class on mondays from 11 to 3:15. straight. no breaks. no time for snacking. no time to mingle. just time to sprint to my next class. it is horrible. so then i get to sit in political science from 2 to 3;15 while my stomach grumbles like a large group of boulders tumbling down the tallest mountain ever known. yeah. it's that noticeable.
[[SIDE NOTE: MEG IS IN THE MOVIE NOW!!!]]
achem, back away from venting. after class, hannah, bee, and i hung out in our amazing dorm (LW 209 THATS RIIIIIGHT) until i had to head to work. again, not epic. i then worked. and then watched secret life. and then came home. which brings me to right here. yayy. blogging to all you faithful readers. sorry there was nothing epic today. there will be tomorrow. we'll make it happen.

"remember like a few years ago? every other boy was named jason? and the girls were named brittney?"
yeah pain. yeah panic. i remember.

there isn't anything too entertaining to write about right now. oh except that hannah and i decided yesterday (or the day before that) that we are going to have to start flip videoing the occurrences that happen here in our dorm. examples, you ask? turning grease on our television. hannah and i sing every word. to every song. and then we dance to every song with that. it's pretty epic.
also, we were watching dirty dancing the other night, and "hungry eyes" came on. well, hannah and i decided that we need to download that song. being the concerned roommate that i am and not wanting her to forget, i decided to text her that we needed to download it. note, she was laying in her bed right under mine in our bunk. and how did my wonderful roommate repay me? by forwarding the text back to me. but what time did she forward the text back to me? 9:15 this morning. yes. while I was sleeping. what a caring girl she is.

i would like to point out that i hate doing acrobatics in my dorm in order to get service on my cell phone. it's good for me, it's making me more flexible (ha), but it makes my arms tired and i am just too lazy to want to do it all the time. i will have to start thinking up new poses to do that may give me better service in here. then i'll start naming them. i'll start with oldies like "the courching tiger," and then come up with my own like "the sprinting three headed ninja in a lake on a hot summers day with flying discs and a straw hat." it'll be epic.

well, this should be sufficient enough for my blog about today.
until next time...

ps. WHO YA THINK YA KIDDIN?
HE'S THE EARTH AND HEAVEN TO YA
TRY TO KEEP IT HIDDEN
HONEY WE CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH YA
(OOOOHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO)
...YA GOT GOT GOT IT BAD
(OHHHHHH, NO CHANCE NO WAY I WONT SAY IT NO NO)
YOU SWOON YOU SIGH WHY DENY IT UH OH
(ITS TOO CLICHE I WONT SAY IM IN LOVEEEEEE)
YOURE DOIN FLIPS, READ OUR LIPS, YOURE IN LOVE.
(OHHHH, AT LEAST OUT LOUD, I WONT SAY IM INNNNNNNN LOOOOOOOO-WHOAAAA-OOOOOVE)
SHA LA LA LA LA LA AHHHH.
So....this is neither Jessica or Hannah. I am the new guest blogger, Nina. Apparently room 207 is having an epic argument of some sort. Well...maybe not epic, maybe like...well..whats the word for a mini-epic? NOT THE POINT. Any way, they just yelled at something. Maybe they were yelling at the TV, I do that. Especially when Glee comes on, that REALLY excites me. I don't like that I have to wait until April for that. Because let's face it, no one likes American Idol anymore. Well...not anyone I know. The only good part about the show is the auditions, and that's only because I am a bad person and I laugh at all the horrible people.

So I just checked my e-mail, because this is not really holding my attention, and I have like 80 messages. NO exaggeration. I don't like that.

Hannah is talking to her Momma right now. Or Dave...I'm not really sure. Maybe both. She is also creeping on all the new members of the sororities, which is really weird. "Don't say that, you make me sound like a creeper"-Hannah

Jessica is at work right now, which makes me sad, because I have not seen her in forever. Mostly because I was not allowed to talk to her.

Soooo sad story. It is epic. I am from MD and I came down to Winthrop in Fall of 08, right after my nephew was born. He is now 18 months old. I don't get to see him too often, but before I left to come back to SC for the Spring semester we had him calling me Nani. Apparently last night he was looking through his photo album (yes, the toddler has his own photo album, the conceited little thing likes to look at himself) and saw a picture of me and him and started shouting NANI NANI! Yea....cue tears of joy/sadness.

Hannah just started talking to her tummy...weird. Not so much epic.

It's really quiet in the room, because Hannah and I are too lazy to get up and turn the tv on.

OK to clarify. The word Slore, is not actually a word that Hannah and Jessica made up. It is a word that I use to describe people who have very loose morals. Because I do not, or at least do not anymore.

Hannah is still too lazy to get up and turn on the tv.

So I may or may not be psychic. I can predict pregnancies, forreal yo. I can tell someone is pregnant just from their fbk status. Its legit, not very marketable though.

Hannah is finally putting Glee on, thanks goodness.

I'm distracted now...by Puck's hotness. I don't know why I like the bad boys so much.....

Imma go now. We'll see whether or not they let me be a guest blogger again.

we suck at musical lyrics.

So, hannah and I decided today that we really suck at getting musical lyrics correct.

Now, normally, we're pretty baller at getting lyrics right. Lately, however, our country music lyrical genius has not been up to par.

a few days ago, hannah and i were enjoying our daily morning jump start of cmt music videos. red light by david nail (which, i would like to point out, as i mentioned this song just now, i searched for it on my itunes and began to play it....for inspiration.) came on (recap-red light. david nail. came on. cmt). I was singing it and it got to the chorus and i pretty much yelled
AT A RED LIGHT AND A STOP SIGN ON A SUNDAY NOTHING TO SAY...
then i paused and said...wait...red light...stop sign...nonsense.

hannah corrected me and we continued with our lives. Tonight, in the car, on the way home from walgreens (where we bought umbrellas! BECAUSE WE WERE DYING IN THE FLOOD AND RAIN) "cryin for me" by...toby keith, we decided, came on. hannah was singing along correctly, then suddenly said
"...so play your upside down, left-handed, backwards baseball cap" (YEAH. SHE SAID BASEBALL CAP.) instead of the correct lyrics (which are "bass guitar.").
it was pretty epic.

we are now currently studying for class tomorrow. we are kind of hopeful that we don't have class tomorrow, however, due to flooding. We are listening to the light pitter-patter of rain become beating, murderous, noisy drops of death. We are fearing for our lives. We can't exactly see outside our window (reference: outside my windowwwww)(thats a song), but we have estimated that the parking lot is flooded up to at least the first floor by now. making the only way we can get to class would be by swimming tomorrow. sorry winthrop, i left my bathing suit at home.

hannah is talking to maribea via skype (SHOUT OUT MARIBEA! heart heart)>

hannah and i keep looking at our window because it is making scary creeper like noises. like someone is tapping on it. not like the romantic, rock throwing, sing a song if you open the window kind of tapping, but like the creepy, freddy cruger (spell check!), im gonna get cha! kind of tapping. like the im real mad and im about to break into your dorm with a candlestick tapping.

we are listening to fat bottomed girls. it makes me proud to have a booty. what what. rockin everywhere. you know. legit-like.

lee wicker 209 is not too festive right now, as we are deep in study and fear of rain-like death. hannah wants to inform all math 150 students that 45 in section 3.4 is true. in case anyone couldn't get that one. she got it. she got it.

well, maribea is rushing me to post this award-winning (or what should be) blog. so, i guess i'm out for the night. good evening to all.
er....morning, ive been informed.

until next time....

ps-THEN SINGS MY SOULLLLLLLL...hahaah.

The Real Friday Night.

So... If you read our earlier post then you heard Jessica's side of the story of what happened Friday night. She managed to leave out a few details... SO, This is the real story... (ps... jessica is trying to dance with bee... it is mildly entertaining)
Friday night-
Jessica took two Tylenol PMs. So she was a bit drugged. She was in her bed and decided she wanted to get down. Since our beds are bunked and hers is on the top, it was a bit far from the ground. She asked me to move her step stool closer to her bed so it would not be as far down. WHILE I was moving the stool closer she decided to jump down. She missed the stool and tumbled to the ground... i'm still not sure how we didn't get a noise violation (jessica was being quite the melodramatic.)

Nothing to epic to report has happened today. Dave, my boyfriend came to visit today :) but he is on the way back home now :(

Jess went to church with bee this morning (BLESSED HOPE WHAT WHAT) then went to olive garden with the Hanke family.

While i was in the shower this morning i knocked the suite mates shower thing off the shower head. It made a big huge noise and scared me. That is the most epic thing that has happened today.

Until next time. :)

Saturday January 23, 2010

Hannah and I are currently watching Julie & Julia. This is not too much of an epic event, but it was the inspiration for the creation of this blog. Hannah and I will be blogging about dorm life and the exciting things that go on in Lee Wicker (WICKA WICKA WHAAAAT) 209 as we go through our semester.

Hannah just opened a bag of fruit snacks. Again, not an epic event for LW 209. So, I guess I should take this blog back in time to a more epically relevant time.

**LAST NIGHT**
Last night, well, it was pretty epic. Bryant was here, enjoying his awesome bonding time with Hannah and I before he had to leave for curfew at 12:30. That wasn't too epic, except that "bee" (as i call him) made a duct tape pepsi can thing and a duct tape bracelet THAT HE DIDN'T WRITE ON. After bee left, however, something epic happened. About ten minutes after bee left, I decided that I needed to get down from my top bunk. Why did I decide to do this? We still have no idea. Well, as i was attempting to get down from the bed, hannah decided she would move the stool i step down on. i didn't realize this. instead, i plummeted to the groud. fracturing my leg into 4 pieces, and bruising my hands to the point of manglement. actually, i have a big bruise on my leg and my hands are fine. there is a knot on my leg too. regardless, it was epic. after that i drank from a milk carton (which is gross) but oh well. then i got back in bed and fell into a deep slumber.

....i practically almost died last night. with a broken leg.

**CURRENT DAY**
that was something epic that happened in our dorm last night. Hannah has a different version (so i hear), and perhaps she will be blogging about it later. Hannah had a cold chill. now she is going to the bathroom. in the bathroom, of course. She pause Julie & Julia. which is fine by me, i'm not really watching it anyways. this morning we got up and did laundry. then we joined the Hanke family for lunch at longhorn. it was delicious and some great bonding time. Then, hannah and i headed back to the dorm. we got a BEAST parking spot too, RIGHT IN LEE WICKERS P.LOT. yeah. ballin. i know.
after that, we put our laundry away, made our beds, scrubbed down the bathroom, and i reorganized my closet. we were amazingly productive today. but now we aren't being all that productive. and i dont see any more productivity happening today. except that i am going to write my paper that's due monday. I need to finish it up.

"you are the butter to my bread and the breath to my life" -julie & julia. aww.

anyways. i guess this will be the end of my first blog post. i'm feeling that it's nap time.
